Nathan crashed two more of Maddie's parties. First, her going away celebration, which over 100 of the Dyers' friends attended in Sacramento. Second, her first weekend (and birthday) in New York City.

After Maddie finally settled into her apartment, she then took her first trip to Detroit to help her new boyfriend move into his own place.

Nathan and Maddie headed West to meet Nathan's family for the The Grand Prix in Long Beach. Afterward, they spent time in LA with the Dyers and Nathan met Maddie's brother, Christian, at his rugby game. It was on this trip, they both said "I love you" (Nathan first - but only after his mum, Carol, told her son that she approved).

Christian visited NYC and got to bond with his future brother-in-law. Nathan and Maddie enjoyed NYC in May and all its unpredictable weather has to offer.

They went back to Sacramento for Nancy's birthday (yes, she stole someone's sunglasses), and for Nathan's late grandfather's celebration of life in Tahoe. Maddie showed Nathan her old stomping grounds - the Marina District in San Francisco. Then after many flight fiascos, they made it to the United Kingdom, where Nathan officiated his friends' Annie and James' wedding.

Maddie got laid off by her crypto company in July (to everyone's surprise, but hers). She spent time with Nathan in Detroit before he did his first half Iron Man race in Sandusky, Ohio. Once he finished, she returned to New York to figure out what was next.

Maddie quickly got an offer to return to Visa. She made sure to enjoy funemployment while it lasted.

Maddie was busy starting her new job but visited Nathan in Detroit for what she thought would be the last time (there was one more cold trip in January, which was most definitely the final one).

Ken and Nancy came to the city for the first time after almost forty years to celebrate Nathan's 30th birthday.

Nathan bravely spent Thanksgiving with Maddie's family on their ranch in Elk Grove, CA, which is next door to the estate where they will say "I do". The day of course started off with The Run to Feed the Hungry - AKA in the Dyer household, walk to the nearest bar.

After Thanksgiving, they returned to their alma mater and where it all began. Christian was being honored for his athletic achievements as a rugby player.

The best Christmas present of all was getting to have Carol meet Nancy and Ken on her way from Auckland to London, during her layover in San Francisco. The weeks that followed were exactly what the holidays are for the Dyers - chaotically wonderful.

They rang in 2023 at the Dyers' new beach house in Bodega Bay, with Nancy and Ken, Sam and Greg Mellor, and Kirsten and Mary Hayes. On this trip, they asked Mark to officiate their wedding. No, they were not officially engaged yet.

Nathan took Maddie to New Zealand for the first time. It was an unforgettable trip and they hope to go back often with their children one day.

Nathan officially moved to New York!
